We have an immediate opening for a Senior Web Developer who wants to work on cutting edge web technologies and social media.

As part of the Marketing teamyou will be working in a fast-paced, highly demanding environment and will be responsible for overseeing the design, coding and server administration of our corporate website.  The ideal candidate is a creative self starter who has a natural business acumen.  You like working in the very latest web 2.0/3.0 world and are equally comfortable with front end and back end web development.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
⁃Working closely with other members of the web marketing team to create new and exciting pages, communities and web 2.0 applications for Halogen Software.com
⁃Convert graphical web mock ups and concepts into user friendly web pages.
⁃Create web forms that interface with other systems (CRM, eMail, Databases)
⁃Define and document web site requirements
⁃Identify problems and trouble shoot code issues
⁃Monitor and audit web servers to ensure optimal performance of our web systems.
⁃Day to day publishing on the corporate website.
⁃Update content, templates, and programs as required

 Applicants must possess:
⁃Formal education in Web Development as well as 5+ years of related experience
⁃Advanced to Expert knowledge of PHP, HTML,CSS, JavaScript, XML, DHTML
⁃Strong background in database design, SQL, mySQL
⁃Strong background in css/xhtml based layouts
⁃Expertise in modern web standards and SEO optimization techniques
⁃A solid understanding of W3C and proven ability to produce code that is compliant
⁃Experience with Web Server Administration in a linux environment
⁃Experience with Web User Interface Design
⁃Experience working with and coding for Content Management Systems.
⁃Experience with Wordpress
⁃Ability to design dynamically generated pages
⁃Solid understanding of Macromedia Flash development and integration Proficient in Adobe Photoshop/Fireworks
⁃Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
⁃Knowledge of current rich media technologies and their relevant application
⁃A broad knowledge of current web technologies and design tools and a willingness to learn new technology.
⁃Demonstrated problem solving and analytical abilities
⁃Proven aptitude for quick creative thinking with attention to detail within demanding timelines
⁃Capable of working independently while also being a strong, passionate team player on projects
⁃Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
