SENIOR WEB DESIGNER

Leadership

·         Mentorship and motivation of junior creative staff on issues of client relations, design, user interfaces, information design, interactive design, current technology, production coordination

·         Maintain visibility and respect in the online community

·         Grow the topline and contribute to the growth and development of our business

·         Contribute to the development of the Studio's culture and quality standards

Strategic and Analytical Thinking

·         Understanding of fundamentals of new marketing and communications principles

·         A solid understanding of informational architecture practices

·         Gathering, reviewing and validating project requirements

Collaborative Creativity

·         Creation of high-level graphical specifications for web development

·         Ensuring quality and continuity of work

·         Program development and implementation

·         Able to facilitate brainstorms

·         A keen sense for strong design and colour

·         Strong ability to conceptualize on a high level

Qualifications

·         4+ years agency experience

·         Desire to work with a growing company

·         Presentation of a portfolio demonstrating experience in graphic design is required

·         Adobe Creative Suite

·         Hand code standards compliant code in XHTML/CSS/Javascript

·         PHP knowledge an asset   

·         Flash/AS3 knowledge an asset

·         Extensive knowledge of colour theory, methodology and practice.

·         Must have knowledge of web design and experience working with database driven web sites

·         Direct experience with social media tools and platforms, including but not limited to blogging, micro sites, online monitoring, SEO, etc.

·         A relentless and visible passion for and participation in marketing and community engagement
