Senior Developer

The successful applicant will work within a team environment with primary responsibility for web site design, programming, support and maintenance. Duties include designing, developing and documenting new functionality for deployment in a web based service environment, the technical help desk environment and other administrative database applications; support and development of Desire2Learn; providing server administration and support; and performing other related duties as required.

Qualifications
Considerable experience (3-5 years) in web application design and development; graduation from a university with major course work in Computer Science; or any equivalent combination of experience or training. Considerable programming experience in a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP) environment and knowledge of database structures is required. Ability to use a combination of HTML, CSS, PHP, XML, SOAP, JavaScript, Flash and AJAX to create web applications with database backend is also required. Experience in graphic design and manipulation, supporting Linux server environments and familiarity with a learning management system, such as Desire2Learn, and good interpersonal skills would be assets.
