Our selected candidate will report to the Director of Technology and will be responsible for the development and support of our web based communication initiatives. This is a full-time permanent position.
Educational Requirement: Computer Science or similar post secondary education.
Experience: 2 to 5 years of web development experience.
What We Need!
Responsibilities
· Design, develop and code standards compliant web based communication tools
· Design, develop and enhance support databases
· Assist in the entire life cycle of web based projects
· Support and contribute to legacy web based applications
· Contribute to quality control and rigid testing cycles
· Assist in project management
· Assist in project documentation, archiving and version management
· Provide after hours support in emergency/launch scenarios
Desired Knowledge/Skills
· Commanding knowledge of standards compliant HTML, JAVASCRIPT & CSS
· Commanding knowledge of software development lifecycle
· Proficient knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET or PHP
· Proficient knowledge of proper and effective testing methods
· Working knowledge of SQL Server 2005
· Working knowledge of ColdFusion, JSP & J2EE
· Working knowledge of IIS 6 & APACHE TOMCAT 5.5
· Working knowledge of source code control, as it relates to web based projects
· Working knowledge of slicing layered Adobe Photoshop files
· Ability to communicate in a legible, grammatically proper and coherent manner
· Ability to assess, devise and react productively in high stress situations
· Ability to manage competing priorities effectively
· Ability to adapt to rapidly changing directions
· Ability to gain trust, demonstrate respect and contribute to cooperative team work
· Ability to assess, react and resolve emergency and/or pressing situations after business hours
Salary: $39,000 - $45,000 annually
