Web Designer

GANZ, home of Webkinz, leading the way with loveable plush animals, distinctive giftware, MaggiB handbags, and some of the finest fragrant candles and personal care products in the world, has an exciting opportunity for a creative Web Designer in our Marketing Department.

Key Responsibilities:

    * Provides web publishing, HTML document conversions, graphic and website design.
    * Integrates animation, still images, and text into the graphical design of web pages.
    * Assists current Web Designer and programming staff to ensure design visions are fully realized in finished product.
    * Implements creative design solutions within the constraints of web technologies.
    * Conducts quality control assessments of the Website.
    * Image resizing and cropping duties as required.

Key Qualifications:

    * Completion of a Post-secondary program in website development with a strong creative background or 2 to 4 years experience designing websites.  Portfolio of work required.
    * In-depth knowledge web makeup or scripting languages: HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash.
    * Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, etc).
    * Expertise in current Internet standards, including Web browsers and browser specifications.
    * Experience in user interface design with a focus on user experience.
