Senior J2EE Developer

The Calliere Group is working with a very progressive innovator within the digital media (ecommerce) space located in the Plateau who is in need of a Developer who has amassed at least 6 years of Java development. The successful incumbent will have in-depth experience wokring with Java, JSP, using MySQL in a Linux environment. Moreover, exposure to JSF and Struts is a great asset. 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

- Design applications using Java (design, programming, implementation and unit testing); 
- Develop new functionalities; 
- Participate into enhancement of projects; 
- Analyze and resolve complex problems thoroughly; 
- Multitasking: be flexible and capable of managing time and priorities effectively on several projects simultaneously; 
- Work within corporate company specifications and deadlines. 

Furthermore, all development must conform to the security standards established by our client's industry standards. We'll discuss this further in person. It's quite fascinating. 

Technical skills: 

- Essential: Java, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, Tomcat 
- Essential: SQL, Spring 
- Important: JSF, Struts, Ant, XML, JPA(iBatis) 
- Important: Linux 
- Asset: Apache, PHP, Perl, CVS 

General criteria: 

- Important Over 5 years of experience in Java development 
- Essential Communicate ideas effectively with non-technical staff 
- Essential Excellent English communication skills 
- Essential Ability to work with deadlines 
- Asset Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science completed
